Ten construction and procurement companies blacklisted

Kathmandu, Oct 29 : The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 10 companies for their unsatisfactory performance and flouting rules regarding procurement and construction. 


The blacklisted companies were Ishan Construction Pvt Ltd, Bhuwaneshwori International Pvt Ltd, MS JV International, Gaurav Construction Service, MD, Dharmendra JV, Lama Builders Service, MA Industrial Associates and Gapa Kageshwori Associates and Gapa Kageshwori Suppliers.

Some of these companies are related to construction while some are companies that import goods. The blacklisted companies cannot participate in procurement process of the public procurement agencies for next 10 months starting from today, according to PPMO Spokesperson Yagya Raj Koirala. These companies failed to deliver on par with the commitments and were found to have been grossly negligent in the construction and procurement process, shared Spokesperson Koirala. 


He further informed that five other companies involved in import of the goods were also blacklisted. These include Pawan Kumar, Nitesh Kumar, Narayan Das Shree Niwas, Shree Quality Security Goods Suppliers and DNK Trading Pvt Ltd.  According to the Public Procurement Act 2063, if any company that has received government tender does not complete the work within the set time or does not maintain the working quality, the PPMO has the right to blacklist that company for a period between one year and three years as per seriousness of their faults.
