Teenage girl injured in acid attack in Birgunj

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: A teenage girl suffered burn injuries after two youths threw acid on her while she was on the way to her school in Birgunj metropolitan city on Friday morning.

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: A teenage girl suffered burn injuries after two youths threw acid on her while she was going to her school in Birgunj metropolitan city on Friday morning.


According to District Police Office Parsa, Muskan Khatun, 15, was critically injured after the youths threw acid on her at around 6 am at Ganeshman Chowk area when she was on the way to school from her home at Chapkaiya.

The acid attack victim was referred to Kathmandu for further treatment after she underwent primary treatment at Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital in Birgunj.


The local youths who hurled the acid on the teenage girl have been identified as Samsad Miya and Makshed Alam. Police have arrested Miya following the incident.
