Issuing a press statement, Unique Adventure International -- the handling agency of Georgian American International Alpine Club Peak IV expedition - said the successful summit of the virgin peak would help promote Nepal´s adventure tourism prospects ahead of Nepal Tourism Year 2011 celebration.

“We are always looking to promote previously unexplored areas to promote adventure and mountaineering tourism in the country,” Khum Bahadur Subedi, director of Unique Adventure International, said in the statement.

The team is leaving for Tumlingtar, the beginning point of the expedition, on Wednesday.
