TANAHUN, Feb 20: The death toll in an accident involving a jeep carrying wedding attendees on the interior road in Anbu Khaireni Rural Municipality-1, Giranchaur of Tanahun.


Two persons died and 16 others were injured when the jeep carrying wedding attendees met with the accident. The jeep was bound to Chhapswara.

Among the injured, Sher Bahadur Gurung, 56, of Anbu Khaireni Rural Municipality-6 died while undergoing treatment on Monday night, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohan Bahadur Khand. In the accident, Aaspur Gurung, 72, of the same place and Tulasi Gurung, 17, residing in Byas Municipality-9, Gajaud, died. The injured are being treated in Chitwan, the police said.


Ward chairman of Anbu Khaireni-6, Dilip Gurung, said the entire village has plunged into a shock following the accident.
