Stretching from Badagaun of Kushma to Kainya of Belawa, the bridge will be 347 meters long. After the construction of the Kali Gandaki bridge, the locals of Baglung can reach Kushma in just five minutes.
“An otherwise one-and-half hours walk will be completed in just a few minutes,” said Min Prasad Shrestha, president of the bridge users´ group.
“We had been pushing to get a bridge here for a long time.” At present, the Shivalaya-Gadi suspension bridge in Parbat district is the tallest bridge in the country. The Kali Gandaki bridge will be 12 meters taller than the Shivalaya-Gadi bridge.
