Tactics being used to break ruling coalition will not be successful: Madhav Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that efforts are being made to break the ruling coalition by raising the issue of MCC. Speaking at the party’s office inauguration ceremony on Friday, Nepal said that different tactics are being used to break the ruling alliance in the name of MCC.

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that efforts are being made to break the ruling coalition by raising the issue of MCC. Speaking at the party’s office inauguration ceremony on Friday, Nepal said that different tactics are being used to break the ruling alliance in the name of MCC. 


Nepal urged everyone not to get confused and move forward without hesitation. He said that the tactics being used to break the ruling coalition will not be successful.

Chairman Nepal said that his party will play its role in parliament as a ruling party. He said that the CPN (Unified Socialist) has an important role in the coalition and will contribute to the smooth running of the government. “We will move forward by coordinating with the coalition. We will play our role by coordinating with the federal government as well as the provincial governments,” Nepal said. He added that the party will also work closely in coordination with the local governments and will move forward by clearing the confusions and allegations leveled against the ruling coalition. 


In addition, Nepal said that his party will take part in the government. He also said that new governments are being formed in Province 1 and Bagmati Province.  


Asta Laxmi Shakya is currently the chief minister of Bagmati Province while Bhim Acharya is the chief minister of Province 1. Both the leaders were supporters of Madhav Kumar Nepal before the UML party split. The two leaders had withdrawn their support to Nepal and had decided to stay in the UML following the split. Nepal said that the door of his newly-formed party will always remain open for his former supporters who are currently in the UML.
