KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that swindlers who are scamming the country will be booked within a week.


Addressing a program organized by Nepal Academy on the occasion of International Mother Language Day on Monday, Minister Ale said that various elements have been cheating the country till now. He claimed that he will work to book within a week. “The thing that I'm doing right now is a trailer. I will work to show the entire film on screen now,” he said.

Casino operators have started paying royalties after Minister Ale's recent move against casinos for non-payment of royalties. As of Sunday, the government has collected Rs 810 million in revenue from casino companies, according to the Department of Tourism.


Minister Ale had warned a few weeks ago that the license of casinos that have failed to pay royalties would be revoked. Following the directive of Minister Ale, a total of 17 companies have already paid royalties.


During the function on Monday, Minister Ale also spoke about his recent public video/audio. Minister Ale claimed that the audio/video was made public to tarnish his own image.


He said that some elements have been trying to ruin his political career.
