One arrested for swindling Rs 3.7 million

Police, deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku, have arrested a man from Teku, Kathmandu, for allegedly swindling an individual out of millions with the false promises of sending to the UK.

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Police, deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku, have arrested a man from Teku, Kathmandu, for allegedly swindling an individual out of millions with the false promises of sending to the UK.


The arrested person has been identified as Madan Bhandari, 32, originally hailing from Annapurna Rural Municipality-2, Kaski, and currently residing in Samakhusi, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.

According to police, the accused Bhandari was arrested on Sunday based on the victim's complaint that he had gone missing after taking Rs 3.75 million with the promise to send him to the UK.
