Known as Sushila ama, her passion for dance and the arts were lifelong. Manisha Koirala was the chief guest of the event where many of the Koirala clan was also seen.[break]
Art enthusiasts can learn music, dance, theatre and art from the experienced teachers at the academy. Students can learn to play the piano, guitar, violin and Nepali flute and also choose to learn the classical Spanish Flamenco, Nepali and Indian classical dance, classical Ballet, Hip hop and Zumba.

Speaking about his sister- in-law, Sushil Koirala, President of Nepali Congress, said how her dream of opening an art academy was finally coming true. “She was deeply interested in dancing and the Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir she founded in Patna is the pride of Bihar today.”
Manisha also shared her memories of her grandmother. She said, “I was trained in Bharat Natyam and Manipur Classical dance by my grandmother. I was three-years-old when she first started teaching me at home. Sushila ama has been an inspiration to me.”
Instructors like Shanti Giri, Sheli Thapa, Rajee Shrestha, Rajkumar Malakar among others will be imparting their knowledge to the students at Sushila Arts Academy. The academy is situated in Jana Marga, Mandikhatar in Kathmandu.
