KATHMANDU, April 22: Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reiterated that there will be dignified party merger. Speaking at a program organized to mark the 69th establishment day of Nepal Communist Party and the birthday of Lenin at CityHall, Exhibition road Dahal said that both parties have agreed for the respectful party merger.
He said that the parties will be unified on ‘surprise’ date. “It was a surprise for many when we announced the party alliance for the election”, he said adding that the party will not be unified on the rumor date.
“It will be surprised for all on that day. We will not give prior information regarding the date of unification.”
He urged the party cadets to stay alert regarding the rumors of the party unification and added that the unification would get ruined due to minor issues.
He said that both parties are very serious regarding the parties merger.
Talking about the 12-points agreement, Dahal said that both parties were fighting for one goal through two different practices. “We were having series of discussion with CPN-UML that was conceptualized for the framework of the 12-points agreement. If not, people’s revolution was not possible”, he said.
Stating that the peace process was not an easy task, Dahal said that it was an achievement to drive the peace process through democratic way.
