SURKHET, May 20: Two people lost their lives when a minibus en route to Birendranagar, Surkhet from Dailekh met with an accident near Katkuwa in Birendranagar-14.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Rupesh Khadka, chief of the District Police Office, Surkhet, the deceased have been identified as Bhimsen Rana, 22, from Dhungeshwar Rural Municipality-6, Dailekh and Sher Bahadur Khadka, 70, from Bhurigaun, Bardiya. He said that the bus (Karnali Province 02 001 Ba 0852) met with the accident on Monday around 1:30 PM. According to him, 19 people were injured in the accident.
Surkhet Police Chief Khadka said that 17 injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Karnali Care International Hospital and two are being treated at Province Hospital Surkhet.
