They are available in 60 restaurants, 15 hotels and around 50 supermarkets and groceries across the country.

Speaking at the launching ceremony in Kathmandu on Friday, Deepak Bhatnagar, executive vice president, sales and marketing, of Sula Vineyards, said: “With RC & Company´s support and expertise, we look forward to growing with the company here in Nepal.”

Although Sula wines were being imported into Nepal since 2012, this is first time the company had officially launched its product in the country, said Antoine Garet, managing director of Sula´s wine and spirits division.

“Nepal is a country that demands good quality wine at reasonable prices. Sula wines have it all,” Garet further said.

Sula Vineyards exports its wines to 20 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the US and Canada.

“We are working on exporting our products to Africa, China and Russia within this year,” said Cecilia Oldne, global brand ambassador and head of international business of the company, informing, the company´s focus is on penetrating the developing countries.

As Sula is entering new countries, it has identified the need to design tailor-made sales and promotion strategies for different markets. In this regard, the company is using the expertise of its local representatives to not only understand the demand of the market but capitalize on their strength and achieve various targets.

These initiatives have led to impressive hike in global sales of Sula wines, said the company, which won silver medal in Decanter Asia Wine Awards 2012 for Sula Sauvignon Blanc.

The company, which also runs Beyond Resort and Villa, and Vinoteca, a Spanish restaurant, in India, has fixed the price of its products at a range of Rs 990 to Rs 1,100 for 750ml bottles.
