The 122-page book is a collection of 30 stories published by Subedi trio Khagendra, Parshuram and Prem.
Nine among the total stories has already been published in various newspapers and magazines.
This is the first such work by 63-year author who has been a freelance columnist since a decade. The book is priced at Rs 150.
Commenting on the book, Kaila said the stories in the book depict the lifestyle and the impact of the 10-year long insurgency on the people from the rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion, littérateur Dr Abhi Subedi said that the stories are based on the unheard struggles, unfulfilled love and other aspects of life witnessed by the author during his involvement in the development activities of rural parts of eastern Nepal.

Columnist and renowned writer Jagdish Ghimire said the book specifically portrays the zonal picture of eastern Nepal.
Expressing his view on book, Prof Dr Dayaram Shrestha said that the book specially portrays the panoramic scene from Terethum to Dharan.
Similarly, Prof Karnakar Khatiwada stated that Subedi’s work shows that he has a great potential to be a good storywriter.
Littérateur Nagendra Prasad Sharma and Rochak Ghimire were also present at the event.
“Newspaper columns become stale as soon as they are read and I wanted to produce something which shall always remain fresh,” author Subedi said.
