Following the shutdown, transport operators kept vehicles off the road. Shops and business establishment remained closed and passenger buses did not ply on the road.
According to the Tamangsila committee, the transport strike was declared to protest non-implementation of the agreement signed with the government.
The government and the Tamangsila body had signed a 19-point pact on Chaitra 29, 2065 BS.
