Strike at AMDA hospital

BHADRAPUR (Jhapa), April 18: The officials at Dhulabari based AMDA Hospital have disrupted all the services except emergency one to protest the expulsion of some officials and curtailing of the facilities.



As many as 12 staffs at the hospital jointly issued a press statement, today, and said they resorted to the strike since Wednesday as the AMDA Nepal Executive Management Committee and Internal Committee of AMDA Hospital expelled some staffs from the hospital and curtailed their facilities they were receiving for long.[break]



The agitating officials claimed that they were appointed as per the three-party agreement between AMDA Nepal, Mechinagar Municipality, Mechi Chamber of Commerce and Industries and expelling the officials and curtailing the facilities was against the agreement.



The hospital was built at the Municipality receiving financial assistance from the Municipality, MCCI, local District Development Committee (DDC), JICA Nepal and the government.
