KATHMANDU, May 7: Executive Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, on Thursday said that the party's Standing Committee meeting scheduled for today had been postponed at the last minute due to the lack of homework.
Amid heightened intra-party disputes, Dahal said that he and the other chairperson of the party KP Sharma Oli are making necessary preparations for holding the crucial meeting.

"We (two chairs) are holding an internal discussion to set the agenda for the Standing Committee meeting. The meeting will be convened in a day or two after we set the agenda," Dahal told reporters after undergoing throat swab testing for the coronavirus at the federal parliament building Thursday afternoon.
The party's Standing Committee meeting has become uncertain at least for now as the members of the party's Central Secretariat failed to fix the agenda during their meeting on Wednesday. Dahal also visited the parliament building today.
