KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Standard Chartered Bank Nepal joined hands with Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) to clean the historical heritage site of Ranipokhari. As a part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank cleaned Ranipokhari on Saturday as part of the preparation for the upcoming Tihar and Chhath festivals. More than 100 bank staff and 25 KMC employees extended their support in painting 48 flower beds located at the Ranipokhari and cleaned the shrubs and garbage around the premises, the bank said the statement. Asian Paints had provided 40 litres of Apex Exterior paint for the purpose. Secretary of urban development ministry Kishore Thapa, CEO of KMC Laxman Aryal and StanChart CEO Joseph Silvanus were present during the clean up, according to the statement. [break]
