In men´s 69 kg, Rujan Tuladhar of the hosts lifted the title after defeating Bhupendra Bista of APF.
Likewise, Surendra Karki of Lalitpur defeated army man Deependra Bakhunchhe in the 56 kg final while APF´s Purna Bahadur Lama won the gold in men´s 60 kg as he outclassed teammate Bikas Bal Lama.
In women´s 48 kg, APF´s Mala Rai won the gold. Rai defeated clubmate Pramila Pandey in the final. Another APF player Muga Maya Pakhrin beat Sunita Nagarkoti of Meghdut Club in the final of women´s 54 kg.
Likewise, Maya Chaudhary won yet another gold medal for APF. Chaudhary upset Sangita Hamal of Makawanpur in the final of 51 kg.
Hosts Wilson win junior title
KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The hosts Wilson Academy won the title of junior boys´ category on Saturday in the Valley-wide Inter-school Basketball Tournament (Wilson Hoops).
Wilson defeated Skylark 32-19 in the final played at their home court at Baphal. Most Valuable Player of the event Sunil Khatri contributed 18 points for the winners.
Meanwhile, Teresa won the girls´ trophy after defeating Galaxy 40-25 in the final. Manju Banu scored 15 points. Banu was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the event.
In the senior boys´ final, Wilson struggled past Sambotta 68-52 after Prajan Pokharel top-scored for the winning side with 20 points. Sameer Thing of Sambotta was awarded the MVP of the category.
