This is the first occasion Singh has solely taken the charge of any A-division club. Singh had coached Nabil Three Star Club in the Martyrs Memorial League last season alongside Bal Gopal Maharjan. [break]
Singh has worked as the assistant coach of the national side several times. He was an assistant to former coaches of the national side Shyam Thapa, Birat Krishna Shrestha and Thomas Flaith.
Himalayan Sherpa presented Singh and their 22 players before the media on Tuesday amidst a function in the capital.
“I have been in the club since the last two months and they have been signing players as per my demands,” said Singh. “Players, management and coaching staff should put in joint efforts to meet any target, and I think Himalayan Sherpa is capable of this.”

Himalayan Sherpa have signed Nabin Neupane, Sagar Thapa, Rupak Shrestha, Pushkar Gahatraj, Deepak Thapa, Deepak Gurung, Jagajit Shrestha and 15 other players.
Club President Karma Chhiring Sherpa informed that players are being paid in the range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000.

Three Star to play in India
KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Nabil Three Star Club (NTSC) are all set to compete in one of India´s football tournaments which will kick off on Thursday.
NTSC will head for India´s Guwahati on September 6 to compete in the 59th Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament 2010. The club got a bye and will directly play the quarterfinal match on September 8.
The tournament with a cash prize of Rs 100,000 (Indian Currency) will be held from September 2 to 15 in Guwahati.
