KATHMANDU, May 17: A five-member karate team from Norway including Norway Wado-ryu Karate Chief Coach Karzatan Stoners has arrived in Kathmandu to provide training for the participants of the third Wado International Karate Training in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The team including Norway Wado-ryu coach Marias Viking, Johnog Viking and John. The training kicked off Sunday at Basundhara. The training is being organized by Nepal Wado-ryu Karate Do Association.

Taekwondo Academy, NNIPA and Maharjan distribute relief

KATHMANDU: Team of Nepalese Taekwondo Academy, Nepal National and International Players Association and former National Sports Council treasurer Minkrishna Maharjan distributed relief to the earthquake victims in Kavrepalanchowk and Sindhupalchowk districts on Sunday. The team provided 20 households of Shyampati VDC in Kavre with 10 sacks of rice and 20 tents. Likewise, the team also provided 80 households of Bhotsipa VDC ward no 5 and 6 of Sindhupalchowk 50 tents, 40 sacks of rice, cooking oil, 80 salt packets and 40 kg of pulse. Altogether, the team distributed relief of worth Rs 200,000.

Nepal Para-Olympics Committee distribute relief

KATHMANDU: Nepal Para-Olympics Committee distributed relief to the differently-abled earthquake victims of Dhading district with support from Ability of Disability and Lion's Club of Kathmandu on Sunday. The committee distributed relief worth Rs 200,000 comprising 50 tents, 50 sacks of rice, 300 kg of beaten rice, 50 packets of salt, 50 blankets, 100 packets of instant noodles and 50 bars of soap.

Nepal Sambo Association distributes relief

KATHMANDU: Nepal Sambo Association on Saturday distributed relief worth Rs 350,000 to the affected people in the Shreekhandapur of Kavrepalanchowk district and several VDCs in Nuwako district. Under the leadership of its president Dhananjaya Shrestha, the association distributed relief packages each comprising a sack of rice, cooking oil and pack of salt, to 35 household in the Shreekhandapur. Likewise, the association also provided package of herbal medicines, toothpaste and brush and 90 tents and blankets to 300 households in Gerkhu, Gangate, Belkot, Madanpur, Sunkhani, Panchakanya, Thansingh, Chaghada and Samundradevi VDCS of Nuwakot district, confirmed Uttam Shrestha, general secretary of the association.
