KUMS, KU set title clash
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUMS) set up title clash against Kathmandu University Central College (KU) in the KU T20 Cricket Tournament held at the KU ground in Dhulikhel. In the semifinal matches held on Tuesday, KU registered a thumping 84 run win over Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) and KUMS edged past Nepal College of Management (NCM) by one run. Pragyesh Dhungel hammered 90 off 57 for KU as it made 196/6. Krishna Bista scored 42. In reply, KCM was bowled out for 112 runs in 19 overs. Raunak Pandey and Dhungel claimed three and two wickets respectively of KCM. Dhungel was declared the man-of-the-match. In another match, opting to bat first KUMS scored 145/7. Raj Kumar Yadav (53), Ashutosh Kafle (50) and Amit Singh (20) contributed for KUMS. Chasing the target, NCM´s Dinesh Barakoti and Suresh Khatri scored 33 runs apiece. Pankaj Neupane contributed 20 runs. However, NCM reached only 144/7, two runs short of target.
