SPORTS BREIFS: NCC, Shankar Dev in semis

KATHMANDU: Nepal Commerce Campus (NCC) and Shankar Dev Campus entered into the semifinals of the Madan Bhandari Cup, valley-wide inter college men´s volleyball tournament. NCC edged past Mahendra Ratna Campus 25-14, 25-19, 25-15 in the quarterfinal match played at the Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center on Sunday. Meanwhile, Shankar Dev defeated TU 25-19, 25-13, 25-14 in another quarterfinal of the tournament, organized by Madan Bhandari Sports Academy.



RIBS, Bright Future in QF



KATHMANDU: RIBS and Bright Future secured quarterfinal berths in the Fourth Valley-wide Inter School Junior Boys´ Knockout Football Tournament organized by Loyalty Academy. RIBS thumped LRI 6-3 on Sunday in the match played on the host ground at Mandikhatar, Kathmandu. Anish Maharjan completed hat-trick for RIBS while Arpan Singh added two and Ankit Pandey scored one. Man-of-the-match Swastik Adhikari also completed hat-trick for LRI. Likewise, Bright Future thrashed The Skylark Mission 8-0. Rujit Pudasaini scored two goals while Sabin Lamichhane, Bikas Karki, Utsav KC and Manish Thapa added a goal each. Skylark conceded two own goals.
