Kathmandu-based poets’ group, Spoken Word Nepal is hosting ‘Word Warriors Live: Asaray Jun’ at Umi Fine Dine, Bakhundole, Lalitpur on Saturday.
The event will go from 2:30 pm for two and half hours. There will be poetry recitations, a panel discussion on poem writings, and an open mic.
Spoken word poetry festival travels four cities
Throughout the live, Samip Dhungel will share his poems to the audience. “Samip Dhungel is an important part of the Word Warriors movement. Known for his love of rhythm and sweet things, Samip will share poems he wrote during his recent time away from Nepal,” reads the event description.
The audience can also treat themselves with poetry chapbooks, notebooks, and stickers that will be sold in the event. “The profit from the sales of these poetic items will go towards supporting our future events and workshops.”
Word Warriors are a Kathmandu-based group of young poets, who have been performing, conducting events, competitions and workshops, all over Nepal.
