KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The Special Court has remanded the suspended Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Sunil Paudel, and suspended Executive Director of Security Printing Centre, Bikal Poudel, for 10 more days for further investigation.

A joint bench of judges Khusi Prasad Tharu, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Ritendra Thapa remanded the Paudel duo for an additional 10 days in judicial custody, according to the Spokesperson at the Special Court, Dhan Bahadur Karki.

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had arrested Bikal and Sunil in connection with embezzlement in 'security printing' on January 24. The anti-graft body arrested them as they had been ignoring its request for recording statements as part of the investigation into the alleged accumulation of property beyond the law.
