Special Committee meet put off

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The meeting of the Special Committee for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of Maoist combatants was put off after representatives of the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi People´s Rights Forum, Nepal (MPRF) did not show up for the meeting.



According to Chief Secretary Madhav Prasad Ghimire, who is also the spokesperson for the committee, said that Maoist representative Barsha Man Pun and Janardan Sharma and MPRF representative JP Gupta did not show up at the meeting.



The meeting was supposed to discuss Maoist decision to recruit additional combatants. The meeting did not take any decision as Maoist representatives were not present, said Ghimire.
