Deputy Speaker Rana praised Budha Magar as a 'super human' and encouraged him to continue his journey in the coming days as well.
On the occasion, Speaker Ghimire handed over a commendation letter to Budha Magar. The Speaker, through the commendation letter, expressed the belief that the world record that Budha Magar has set by climbing Sagarmatha, the world's highest peak, with the help of prosthetic legs even after losing both legs in the war zone would remain for ages as a motivation for Nepalis and those in the mountaineering field.
A resident of Mirul, Thawang in Rolpa district, Budha Magar lost both his legs during the war in Afghanistan while serving in the British Army in 2010.
