KATHMANDU, March 6: There is a possibility of snowfall in the hilly and mountainous areas of the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), there is a partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system in Nepal at present.
According to the meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD earlier at 6 AM, the weather in the hilly areas of the country is partly cloudy and the rest of the area is mostly clear.

According to the MFD, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon.
There is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim regions as well as at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
The weather will remain mostly clear in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali regions, including Sudurpaschim Provinces, while the rest of the regions will be mostly clear tonight. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
