KATHMANDU, April 4: Over the next 3 days, weather patterns are set to change, bringing rain and snow to various parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial influence of westerly winds and local winds across Nepal.

According to the meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD earlier at 6 am, the sky is clear in most regions of the country.

According to the MFD, it will be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, while the remaining areas will be partly to mainly clear. The MFD predicts light rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Karnali Province as well as at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy to mainly clear at night.

Similarly, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder/lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

On Friday afternoon, the weather will remain partly to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, including the Sudurpaschim Province, while the weather will remain partly to mostly clear in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

The weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in hilly areas of Karnali province, and partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country on Friday night. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Karnali Province and at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

On Saturday afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country including Karnali Province, while the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country. There is a chance of light rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of the country. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

The weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country on Saturday night. Light rain with thunder/lightning is possible at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
