BIRGUNJ, March 18: The Armed Police Force (APF) has seized goods worth Rs 28.5 million that were smuggled into Nepal by evading tax.
According to the APF Nepal No 13 Battalion, the seized items include clothes, electrical appliances, spare parts, and foodstuffs.
The goods seized at different times have been handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office and Bara-based Revenue Investigation Office.
Goods worth Rs 6.2 million were impounded from January 15 to February 12, goods worth Rs11.4 million from February 13 to March 14 and goods worth Rs 10.8 million from March 15 to 18 this year.
