NAWALPARASI, Sept 25: At least 16 passengers were injured when the bus they were traveling in collided with a truck along the East-West Highway at Gaindakot Municipality-16 in Nawalparasi today.
The condition of two of the injured passengers is critical, the District Police Office has stated. They are 21-year-old Pabitra Kunwar of Sunawal Municipality-4 and 35-year-old Padam Bahadur Kunwar of Alebhanjyang of Palpa.
Among the injured, eight have already returned home after general treatment while the remaining are receiving medical attention at the Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur.
Meanwhile, 30-year-old Basanti Pariyar of Harbasi, Kawasoti Municipality-16 has sustained serious injuries in a knife attack.
The police said she was attacked by Bimal Sripali, 30 of the same place last night. Pariyar has laceration in her face and chest due to the attack and she is receiving treatment at District Hospital, Bharatpur. Sripali has been arrested. RSS
