KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Shriram Neupane said he received information that six people are trapped inside a tunnel of the Chilime Hydropower Project.
Neupane made the statement through social media on Sunday. He said he was heading to the incident site to assess the situation, learn how his experience and knowledge could be utilized in the rescue operation, and provide necessary suggestions.

He added that he would directly participate in the rescue operation if necessary.
Neupane said he was going to the site with the aim of providing whatever assistance he could to make the rescue of those trapped inside the tunnel more effective.
“Information has been received that six people are trapped inside the tunnel of the Chilime Hydropower Project. I am heading there to understand how my experience and knowledge can be utilized in the rescue operation, assess the situation, provide necessary suggestions and, if required, directly participate in the rescue operation,” he wrote.
