Six Nepali nationals killed in road accident in UAE

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Eight persons including six Nepali nationals were killed in a road accident in the United Arab Emirates on Monday morning, the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi confirmed.

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Eight persons including six Nepali nationals were killed in a road accident in the United Arab Emirates on Monday morning, the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi confirmed.



Nepali Ambassador to UAE Krishna Prasad Dhakal said on social media that six Nepali nationals were killed in the road accident.

According to the embassy, the deceased have been identified as Ramesh Chaudhary, Dan Bahadur Satyal, Krishna Pun, Narayan Pokharel, Deepak Bishwakarma and Nayaram Saud.



The accident occurred at 4.54am on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road in the direction of Sharjah, before the Mirdif City Centre Exit, when a 14-seater minibus collided with a heavy lorry that was stationary on the road shoulder, according to Dubai Police.


The Dubai Police said that six Nepali nationals, one Indian national and one Pakistani were killed in the bus accident.
