KATHMANDU, Dec 15: A six-day national meet of network operators, working in different areas of information and communication technology (ICT) in Nepal, concluded in Kathmandu on Friday, with a decision to further promote sharing of knowledge and expertise to bring innovation in the field.
According to Nepal Network Operator’s Group (npNOG), the event was especially designed to help engineering students and aspiring ICT professionals to get hands-on knowledge to grow as communication and network professionals.

The event featured a day-long conference followed by five days of intensive workshop. Of the total 300 conference participants, 110 attended the workshop.
President of npNOG Samit Jana said the workshop, conducted by senior professionals from Nepal and abroad, helped set platform for learning, knowledge sharing and developing the community.
The five-day workshop was conducted in four tracks: network management and security, IPv6 development, FTTH, and Wi-Fi management and security. The npNOG is a platform where professionals can share news and updates, exchange best practices, discuss technologies, share experiences, and learn about issues and challenges related to internet technologies, according to Jana.
