Six arrested for facilitating others to play online casino games

KATHMANDU, March 21: Police have arrested six individuals on the charge of facilitating others to play online casino games through the cash app application.

KATHMANDU, March 21: Police have arrested six individuals on the charge of facilitating others to play online casino games through the cash app application.


They were arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Min Bhawan, on Tuesday.

Among those arrested are 24-year-old Sunil Thakur of Bramhapuri Municipality-7, Sarlahi and resident of Kathmandu Tokha Municipality-6 Milantol, 26-year-old Rambir Thakur, 22-year-old Pramis Shrestha of Belbari Municipality-10, Morang and resident of, Tokha Municipality-6, Bhatkekopul, Kathmandu.


Similarly, 22-year-old Prasaya Jamkattel of Kathmandu Budhanilkantha Municipality-12, Tenzing Chok, 22-year-old Dipnoj Khatri of Budhanilkantha Municipality-12, who resides in Baluwakhani, Kathmandu and hails from Gauradaha Municipality, Jhapa and 29-year-old Swaraj Shrestha of Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality-14 Kuleshwar have also been arrested.


The police also seized 5 laptops, 8 mobile phones, and 1 CPU used for playing games.
