KATHMANDU, May 13: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office (KVCIO) arrested an individual on the charge of conducting online betting transactions through platforms such as 1XBET (online betting app), Bet365, and Crypto.
The arrested person is 24-year-old Anil Dhungana from Mandandeupur Municipality, Kavrepalanchowk.

According to the police, preliminary investigation revealed that Dhungana has conducted transactions amounting to Rs 2.01 billion across 56 bank accounts linked to 11 Connect IPS, and 15 ESewa wallets registered under various individuals’ mobile numbers.
SP Rabindra Regmi, the spokesperson for the KVCIO, said that it has been found that Rs 1.34 billion were transacted across 243 different types of cryptocurrencies using two accounts through Binance.
