Singh elected NC deputy PP leader

KATHMANDU, June 25: A parliamentary party meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) on Thursday morning elected Prakash Man Singh as deputy leader in Parliament, according to NC leader Jagadish Narsingh KC.



NC Vice President Singh, who played a key role in electing Ram Chandra Poudel as the party´s parliamentary leader last Saturday, was elected unanimously.



The meeting also had the further objective to select the party´s chief whip, secretary and treasurer, however this has been postponed until Friday.



The meeting also decided to assign Jagdish Pokharel and Prithvi Bahadur Ligal as NC´s repesentative to advise government in preparing the budget of the next fiscal year.
