Both the awards are presented under the Madhurima music award.
Minister for Information and Communications Raj Kishor Yadav handed over the Madhurima music award to senior singer Moktan. The Madhurima Fulkumari Mahato Music Award carries a purse of Rs. 51,000 and copper plaque.
Similarly, singer duo Acharya was provided with Rs. 25,000 each and copper plaques.
During the programme, Bikardevi Gaini of the Far-Western Development Region has been awarded with the Fulkumari Mahato Ojhelka Tara Music Award while John Pokhrel has been awarded with the Bal Pratibha Music Award.
Speaking at the programme, Minister Yadav appreciated the Ful Kumari Mahato Trust for awarding the personalities.
Likewise, Chairman of the Trust Upendra Mahato expressed his pleasure, saying as a chairman of the Trust he was happy to honour the personalities contributing to the country´s music sector.
