COVID-19 tally in the district reaches 48


SINDHUPALCHOWK, July 4: Sindhupalchowk district witnessed 12 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.


The 12 new cases of COVID-19 (seven males and five females) from Panch Pokhari Thangpal and Indrawati Rural Municipality were confirmed on Saturday, according to Senior Health Officer Durgha Dutta Chapagain. Of the total infected, 11 are from Panchpokhari Rural Municipality.

All new cases witnessed in the district are foreign returnees - from India, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.


“The infected people will undergo treatment at the Regional Isolation Center at Melamchi,” said Chapagain.


With this, Sindhupalchowk has reported 48 cases of COVID-19 including a case of fatality. In the meantime, 20 patients have already recovered from this fatal disease in the district.
