Siblings drown in pond

KRISHNANAGAR, Aug 9: Two siblings of the same family drowned in a pond at Bagahi, Krishnanagar Municipality-5 in Kapilvastu district. The Bagahi settlement is in grief following the death of the two brothers. The deceased are seven-year-old Sajan and five-year-old Rajan, the two sons of Ram Avatar Yadav of the locality.

The boys drowned in a pond near their house, said Inspector Laxman Oli of the Area Police Office. The bodies of the siblings were found in the pond at 7AM today in the course of a search for them. The pond was formed after removing the earth, it is said. The boys had been missing since Tuesday evening.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
