KATHMANDU, May 11: Nepal Tourism Board has decided to operate shuttle bus service for the convenience of tourists on the day of the local level election. Shuttle buses will be operated in Kathmandu on May 13, keeping in mind the inconvenience to the air passengers between the airport and the hotel as movement of public and private vehicles is prohibited on the day.
The NTB, in collaboration with the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal and the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association, and the Tourist Police, will operate shuttle buses on various routes from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to various hotels.

The shuttle buses will transport tourists from the TIA via Nepal Airlines Corporation, Hotel Annapurna, Hotel Yak & Yeti, Thamel Chowk, Lainchaur Chowk, Shankar Hotel and back to the airport on Route 1. Similarly, in route 2, the shuttle bus will be operated from the airport to Hotel Radisson, Hotel Shangri La, Narayan Gopal Chowk, Maharajgunj Chowk, Hyatt Hotel, Chahabila and back to the airport.
Likewise, the shuttle bus on route 3 will transport tourists from the airport to Tinkune Chowk, Hotel Everest, Maitighar Chowk, Hotel Himalaya, Hotel Soaltee, Grand Hotel. According to NTB, tourists have to pay Rs 300 per person to the concerned bus owners for the service.
