Shree Airlines plane slips off TIA runway

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: A Shree Airlines aircraft slipped off the runway at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: A Shree Airlines aircraft slipped off the runway at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

A wheel of the Q400-8 aircraft with the call sign- 9NANF got stuck in the grassland while making its way to the runway from the airport apron. The aircraft was supposed to fly to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu with 80 people including four crew members.


According to Pratap Tiwari, general manager at TIA, attempts are being made to evacuate the aircraft. “Preparations are being made to send the passengers to another aircraft for their scheduled flight,” he added.
