Nepal's No 1 pro Shiva Ram of RNGC defeated Sanjay Lama on the 19th hole after they were tied at regular play after 18 holes. Likewise, No 2 Rabi of RNGC defeated Umesh Nagarkoti of Gokarna Golf Club 2 and 1 on the 17th hole in the semifinals of the sixth event under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2014-15.
The final match between the top two golfers Shiva Ram and Rabi will be played over 36 holes on Thursday whereas Sanjay and Umesh will play a match for the third place over 18 holes.
Top 16 pros in last year's order of merit are competing in the three-day event organized by Nepal PGA under the sponsorship of Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd. Out of the total cash purse of Rs 200,000, the top four pros will receive Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 18,000 respectively. The losing quarter-finalists will get Rs 10,000 each, while the golfers making the exit from the first round will receive Rs 5,000 each.
