KATHMANDU, Jan 31: Chairperson of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba and Gagan Thapa paid a visit to Dr. Govinda KC expressing the party's solidarity in the latter's demands for reforming the country's medical sector.
The duo met Dr. KC on the 23rd day of his 16th fast-unto-death hunger strike.
Yesterday, former chief justice, Sushila Karki had visited him and expressed shock at the government's apathy towards Dr. KC.
Today, The Medical Education Bill was endorsed by parliamentarians at the National Assembly today despite protests from main opposition Nepali Congress. Three proposals for amending the Bill was rejected by the majority.
