Sources said the names of Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Spokesperson Prakasharan Mahat and leaders Bimalendra Nidhi and Prakashman Singh are being discussed for joining the government.

A leader close to Koirala, Dr Govinda Pokharel said that there was no truth in the rumors that Koirala was preparing to join the government. Pokharel claimed that Koirala would not join the cabinet despite the opportunity to lead the party in the government as a deputy prime minister.

“It is certain that he will not join the cabinet. Joining the government is  not a priority for him,” said Pokharel
