KATHMANDU, Jan 27: A Cabinet meeting held on Friday has picked Shailendra Giri as Executive Director of Training Academy for Section Officers of the Nepal government.

Similarly, the meeting has also decided to merge NIDC Development Bank with National Banijya Bank.

The meeting also decided to host the meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) to be held in Nepal next year.

A committee has been formed to survey the area of Lomanthang in Mustnag district and carry out the registration of the land of the locals of Belahani.

Similarly, the meeting also appointed Mahendra Singh as an expert for the Vice Chairman Selection Committee of the Poverty Alleviation Fund.

The meeting also formed a committee led by Gauri Bahadur Karki to implement the agreements reached with Dr Govinda KC in which Dr Shree Krishna Giri, and joint secretary of the Office of Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, are members.
