Amar Bhadur KC and his younger brother Nava Raj KC are entering the election fray from the same constituency representing two rival parties. Amar Bahadur KC has been picked by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) from the constituency number 2 of Khotang under proportional representation (PR) system, while Nava Raj will contest from the same constituency under first past the post (FPTP) system as a Nepali Congress (NC) candidate. Their niece Bayandra KC has been selected by CPN (ML) under FPTP for constituency number 1.
Meanwhile, the RPP has proposed Krishna Kumari Rai for constituency number 2 under FPTP and her younger brother Arjun Rai for the same constituency under PR system by the party. Arjun Rai is a former lawmaker from RPP.
Likewise, RPP has chosen Lalit Kumar Rai for constituency number 1 under PR and his younger brother Rojan Rai has been recommended from the same constituency under PR by NC.
