TAPLEJUNG, July 14: Seven people, including the driver, sustained injuries in an accident involving a Bolero jeep at Poudel Chowk, Phungling Municipality-7, Taplejung.
Rabi Rawal, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Taplejung, said that the injured are currently undergoing treatment at Taplejung District Hospital. According to Rawal, the accident occurred when the Jeep ( Me 1 Ja 3313) coming from Tellok, Sirijunga Rural Municipality, towards Phungling ,Taplejung headquarters, veered off the road around six meters below due to the steering Reel (GOLI) failure.

The injured have been identified as Mina Bhattarai, 18, Shree Maya Paudel Bhattrai, 35, Ichha Limbu, 7, Sarita Bhattarai, 28, Dhan Kumar Bhattarai, 23, and Buddhi Thapa, 41, all residents of Sirijangha Rural Municipality.
Abhi Tamang, 24, the driver hailing from Bhalujhodha, Rong Rural Municipality, Illam, sustained head injuries. Police have taken control of Tamang for further investigation.
