The VDCs are located 4 km north-west of Lahan.
The armed group arrived at the villages at around 2 a.m., intimidated villages by detonating bombs and went on the looting spree for hours. A local, Ram Prasad Yadav, was injured while trying to retaliate.
Locals said police took a long time to arrive despite being informed on time.
