KATHMANDU, March 13: Comedian Dipak Raj Giri has formally announced to produce Chhakka Panja-2, the sequel to Chhakka Panja through social media on Sunday evening.
The sequel is expected to be released by October-November. The film shooting will begin from the second week of May. The film team has planned to carry out the shooting in the outskirts of Kathmandu valley .

Chhakka Panja was the movie watched by the largest number of audiences in the film history of Nepal. “You have pointed out the weaknesses of the movie. We have announced to make Chhakka Panja-2 with these weaknesses in mind”, said Dipak Raj Giri. “In this sequel, you will be seeing the actors and actresses whom you saw Chhakka Panja”, added Giri.
Popular comedian Deepa Shree will be serving as the director of the movie, which will be made under the banner of Aama Saraswoti Movies
“Since Chhakka Panja has become a brand, we are going to make its sequel based on relevant social issues”, said Deepa Shree.
