Clarity in vision is a pathway to socialism: NCP Chair Dahal

Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stressed on the clarity of vision in the party-line to set up a foundation to socialism. "If we lack clear vision, and day to day practice, manner and lifestyle according to the vision, we are sure to have the same fate as of communist parties from Eastern Europe," Chairman Dahal said while addressing a program organized on the occasion of Fifth Memorial Day of communist leader Sahana Pradhan on Monday in Kathmandu.

28 street children rescued from capital

Twenty-eight street children were rescued from Kathmandu on Sunday. Nepal Police, National Child Right Council (NCRC) and Children Search Coordination Center (CSCC) rescued the street children from various places of Kathmandu, according to a press release issued by NCRC today.  

 

Chinese Communist Party's foreign affairs cell chief arrives in Kathmandu

Head of International Department of Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Song Tao arrived on a three-day visit to Kathmandu on Monday. Deputy Chief of NCP's School Department Beduram Bhusal, Deputy Chief of party's International Relations Department Chief Bishnu Rijal and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi welcomed the Song-led Chinese delegation at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Foreign Minister Gyawali reaches New York to participate in 74th UNGA

Leading a Nepali delegation to the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali reached New York, the United States on Monday morning. Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations Amrit Bahadur Rai, Nepali Ambassador to the United States Arjun Kumar Karki and other officials of the Permanent Mission and Consulate General of Nepal in New York welcomed the foreign minister-led Nepali delegation at the John F. Kennedy International Airport. Gyawali is accompanied by his spouse Saraswati Gyawali.
